These 10 principles get to the heart of what makes a brand clear, credible and worth listening to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3559f76f1aa11a7aeb9a1be746f7ee7f\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">1. What a brand really is.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5a45ea3c5a2327fe93f9ba516cb944a6 wp-block-paragraph\">A brand is more than just a logo, a colour, or even a funky website. A brand is about its culture, its behaviour and its personality. This informs how it communicates and how it can be recognised. A brand always represents the truth behind it.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-58e4eb99e9ef75e5391978125b6f3cfa\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">2. Get your story straight.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e3688f616640c3c8875b238f50a3f10c wp-block-paragraph\">The truth is the only way to get your story straight. What you are known for, what you do and why you exist. Don\u2019t make it up, tell it like it really is. Your brand will be respected for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2522e7a8237817cba974a9f7693888a6\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">3. The truth is in the data.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3a639ff144def231e901e41fa911b051 wp-block-paragraph\">Always back it up with data if you can. And if you can\u2019t, don\u2019t make it up! Through being entirely honest, you should never need to inflate any claims you make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-eb8c36a7fe8513b58658ce6bc3617110\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">5. Say it like you mean it.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-abaaa2cd872da64d23e992dec0849276 wp-block-paragraph\">Say it again, and again. Using the same words makes them yours and after much repetition, it&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll be known for. However, take care to choose your words carefully. Your reputation is built on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6e0068c37d8bc16b9ccf2bbd13ddd4b6\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">6. Less is more.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-730d6c79d0f73cc6a0cf1460d8b2468a wp-block-paragraph\">People just don&#8217;t have time anymore. We see about 10k ads a day, how do you stand out? You have less than a minute to get your primary message across on your website, and that&#8217;s on the generous side. What&#8217;s the hook in a snap?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b974a78db2656afb5638d86ed75ddb22\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">7. You&#8217;re original.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e56bb7de77cf95eccf51c48339501bcd wp-block-paragraph\">Don&#8217;t go copying others, your business was your idea, so make it yours. The brands you admire are there to inspire you, not to copy from<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-179b4d8f20df9a08a9b546b2bc89e2f4\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">8. There is way too much bland nonsense being pumped out by AI. The best way to differentiate is to cut through all of this with your voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-94a4e639cdea841df0bb4c99bfe6cdcb\" style=\"color:#e61e1e\">9. Get real, let&#8217;s be brutally honest.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a3760faee090e61818d750b739c28207 wp-block-paragraph\">The truth is not always easy to find, but when you do find it, you will be respected for it. Often, the most difficult questions can lead to the truth.
