When I met Sarah, it was clear we had very similar values and a good rapport with each other. What followed became a writing exercise based on truth, storytelling, and two very different voices. We loved chatting, and this is when we shared our love of writing and storytelling. In the spirit of collaboration, we started writing in the same document. However, our writing styles seemed to be juxtaposed. So different, collaboration became a challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, we hatched a plan. What if we created a list of 15 questions? We could answer these at a rate of one a week. For example, \u201cWhen is truth absolute, and when does imagination fill the gaps?\u201d. We\u2019d write no more than 1000 words. We both wanted to explore storytelling, me from a Truth perspective, her from looking through a small window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are 5 weeks in. And the results are transformative. Every Tuesday we meet to discuss our writing. Both writing styles are evolving. We end with more questions than solutions and arrive at these from very different writing styles. It\u2019s a joy to write these words and compare the results with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This has become a writing exercise based on truth and character, stretching both our styles in ways we didn’t expect. As each week passes the writing gets easier and the questions get harder. The thought process behind each question gets deeper each time. The writing styles are developing more character and depth.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
