Reflections on 2024

This year has been one of growth, purpose, and connection. From launching our low-carbon website to cycling over 800km for sustainability awareness, and supporting meaningful conversations through People, Planet, Pint events.
We’re deeply grateful for the clients, partners, and team members who have believed in our mission.

Governance

Building a strong foundation for accountability and growth.
What we promised:

Establish a non-fiduciary advisory board to provide independent guidance and ensure accountability.

What actually happened:

Our advisory board provided 24 hours of advice this year, ensuring we remained aligned with our mission. We also published our second Truth Report, tracking measurable progress and refining policies to prioritise transparency.

What we’re doing now:

Strengthening the role of our advisory board, refining policies, and committing to publishing annual Truth Reports every January.

Our advisory board has been pivotal in shaping Harrison Brands into a more accountable, purpose-driven business.

Workers

Creating a foundation for a better workplace
What we promised:

Develop policies to prioritise employee well-being and professional growth while committing to paying above the London Living Wage.

What actually happened:

We introduced enhanced well-being initiatives, offered 36 days of annual leave, and implemented training programmes on social and environmental issues.

What we’re doing now:

Preparing for accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation in 2025, while further refining policies to foster work-life balance and a culture of purpose.

Community

Building connections, creating impact.
What we promised:

Dedicate time to pro bono support, sourcing ethically, and engaging with underrepresented groups.

What actually happened:

We donated 75+ hours of pro bono support, including mentoring RSA Fellows and supporting local initiatives. Through B1G1, we planted 100 fruit trees, provided 1,825 days of access to water systems, and supported vocational training for women.

What we’re doing now:

Expanding pro bono efforts in 2025 to donate up to 60 hours of support to local charities and community projects.

Environment

Living our values through action.
What we promised:

Reduce emissions, redesign our website with sustainability in mind, and align operations with our commitment to Net Zero.

What actually happened:

We reduced our website’s carbon footprint by 57%, collaborated with sustainable workspaces, and ensured all work travel was via cycling or public transport.

What we’re doing now:

Tracking Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, laying the groundwork for advanced reductions and maintaining our commitment to low-carbon design.

What we promised:

Deliver ethical marketing, transparent communication, and measurable impact for every client.

What actually happened:

We helped 3 clients achieve B Corp certification, designed lower-carbon websites, and offered discounted services to purpose-driven organisations.

What we’re doing now:

Expanding support for values-aligned clients and building a structured feedback framework to continuously improve services.
